Many webmasters submit their site to web directories to improve their ranking position. Website directory submission is a great way to increase backlinks to your site. Popular directories are often being visited by people. People visit directories because they want to find information on the internet faster. When submitting your site to the directory, it is important to write a good website title and description so that you can grab the attention of the visitors.

Before submitting your website, make sure it is not listed in the directory. You can use the search box in the directory to perform a search for your website. For example, if your site title is ABC company, you can type in ABC company in the search box to see if it is listed in the directory. By doing so, you are helping to save everyone's time.

After that, you should navigate to the most relevant category. If you cannot find a category that match with your topic, you should submit to the category that is most relevant. There are certain websites that are not welcomed in directory. Your website must not redirect to another URL. It should not consist of too many advertisements. The pages in the site should contain no more than two blocks of advertisement. Your site must not be selling an affiliate product.
